What is a hall rug?

A hallway rug is a rug intended for entrances, corridors and passages where the load is higher than in other rooms. Usually the hallway rug is narrow and long, which is why it is often referred to as a gallery rug. The width is often 70 to 90 cm and different lengths depending on the size of the hallway. The construction prioritizes low pile or flat weave, which reduces the risk of tripping on it and that doors do not get caught in it when they are opened.

What shapes are available on hall carpet?

Hallway rugs are almost always long and narrow (rectangular) or round. It depends a bit on how the hall in question is designed and what other furniture is in the entrance.

We offer both shapes and all of our rugs can also be customized to fit your hallway better.

What colors are available for hall carpet?

We offer hallway rugs in many colors, mainly neutral (gray, beige, white, dark gray, silver and black). We also have somepatterned carpetsfor the hallway, both as long narrow shapes and small rugs. Many interior designers believe that hallway rugs should have a neutral expression and instead be there to complement other prominent details.

How do you care for a hallway carpet?

You take care of your hallway carpets by regularly removing grit, airing, stain removal and rotating them. Here's how to maintain your hallway carpet for a longer lifespan:

  1. Remove gravel. It is important to remove all grit regularly. This is easiest done by vacuuming with a flat nozzle and the bristles facing outwards. If this is not done, grit often wears down both the carpet fibres and the floor beneath the carpet.
  2. Sniff.Make sure to air the carpet often. The carpet takes a lot of abuse from everyone who walks on it, which means it also absorbs odors.
  3. Stain removal.Remember to wipe up any stains as soon as they appear. This will prevent the stains from drying in.
  4. Rotate it.Make sure to spin the carpet a few times a year to ensure even wear on all sides. This is especially important for gallery carpets.
