What is a runner rug?

A runner rug is a type of rug designed to be walked on. It is often a rug placed in a hallway or kitchen.

Different materials for runner rugs

We only offer runner rugs in natural materials such as cotton, wool, and merino wool.

  • Wool. Dirt-repellent, durable, naturally elastic, and warming.
  • Wool with cotton warp. Stable structure and good shape retention.
  • Cotton. Lightweight, soft feel, and easy to roll up or air out.
  • Merino wool. Merino wool comes from merino sheep and has properties to keep you extra warm.

There are also runner rugs in other materials such as linen, viscose, or different types of synthetic fibers (polyester or polypropylene).

Different sizes of runner rugs

There are many different sizes of runner rugs, ranging from widths of 60, 70, 80, or 90 centimeters. To lengths of 150, 200, 250, 300, or 350 centimeters. We can custom-size your rug to fit your hallway's exact measurements.

Different shapes of runner rugs

  • Rectangular runner rug. The most common choice for corridors and hallways.
  • Oval runner rug. Softens straight lines and makes the room more inviting.
  • Half-moon runner rug. Often placed just inside the front door to catch grit and dirt from shoes.
