A jute rug is a hand- or machine-woven rug made from jute plant fibres, which has a low pile and a warm texture.
Jute is harvested, spun, and woven into yarn, which has a natural lustre and a pleasant earthy tone. This natural tone can either develop a natural patina over time or be dyed in a factory.

How do you care for jute rugs?
Proper care extends the lifespan and preserves the jute rug's colour and shape. Here are some things to consider when caring for your jute rug:
- Vacuum regularly with a nozzle without a rotating brush
- Rotate the rug every 2 to 3 months for even wear and sun fading
- Remove stains immediately with a damp cloth
- Avoid soaking as natural fibres can shrink and discolour
- Let grit and dirt dry before attempting to remove it
- Use an anti-slip mat underneath for extra grip
- Do not place the rug in direct sunlight to avoid sun fading
