Many of our rugs are predominantly made from wool, a natural and renewable resource. Wool is biodegradable and leaves no harmful residues in the environment. Its durability and strength ensure that wool products have a long lifespan, contributing to reduced consumption.
Our manual weaving process is energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, further supporting sustainable production. All our rugs are handwoven, meaning the production process operates entirely without electric looms.
Our cushions and throws are made from materials certified according to the OEKO-TEX Standard 100, guaranteeing that the materials are free from harmful substances. These products are designed to last and provide a sustainable choice for your home.
Classic Collection is a proud member of the Care & Fair initiative, which works to improve the working conditions of artisans and their families in India, Nepal, and Pakistan. Through this initiative, we actively contribute to combating child labor and supporting education and healthcare in the communities where our products are made.
We maintain a unique presence with our manufacturers, with our team in India regularly visiting the production facilities to ensure that our high standards for working conditions and safety are upheld. Our efforts include everything from engaging in dialogue with artisans to conducting thorough inspections of workplace conditions.
Through this close collaboration, we build long-term, trust-based relationships that strengthen the communities where we operate. At the same time, we create unique, high-quality products with respect for both people and traditions.
Our packaging is an essential part of our circular journey. Through our collaboration with NPA, we ensure that our packaging is recycled and given a new life.
We believe in minimizing waste. Products that are returned or damaged during transport are carefully handled through a detailed process where they are cleaned, repaired, and sold as second-hand items. In this way, we extend the lifespan of our products and ensure they continue to create value instead of becoming waste.
We also encourage our customers to clean and repair their rugs whenever possible before replacing them – a simple way to extend their lifespan and reduce environmental impact.
Our office and warehouse are operated using energy-efficient solutions to further reduce our carbon footprint.
